Our Thoughts for Paul

Page history last edited by PBworks 16 years, 1 month ago

Hello, Dr. Youngquist,

Class today sucked without you, so we decided to take a little bit of time to post our thoughts for you while you're gone. We look forward to seeing you back in class, but we know that you need to spend time with your family in Colorado. Please accept our heartfelt condolences as a class for your loss, and know that all of our best thoughts and our love are being sent to you over the plains and moutains!

Love, Your Favorite Class

(Us, collectively as an orange cat, hugging you--a badass black-and-white cat.)

Hi Paul,

Just wanted to offer my condolences to you during this time. We are all thinking of you and your family. And of course we are still thinking of Stedman, so get back soon so we can finally shut the Peaches up a little!

Best, Sam

Paul,

My thoughts and prayers are with you, and hopefully they're of some comfort. We're looking forward to having you back in class: You've been perhaps my most influential instructor during my time at Penn State, certainly my favorite, and it seems that two Peaches can't come close to filling the shoes of one Paul Youngquist in the classroom! Take care of yourself.

Hey Dr. Youngquist...

We really missed you in class today. It's strange how the life is just sucked out of a room when you're not there! We had a really decent discussion, but it really was dampened by the mood. (I can't bear to think of just how EMPTY my life will seem when I'm gone from PSU....) Anyway, we love you very much. I'm praying for you, and I know the others' thoughts and prayers are with you too. We hope that you have plenty of time to reminisce with your family and comfort them. We're here for you when you come back...

Paul,

Loss is never easy and I know I don't have to express this, but we all know that it isn't and that is why we wanted to make this page for you, out of respect and because many times it is easier to pull through the shit when you know that people are there for you to lean on. We care about you , not because we have to, but because we choose to.

You should be happy to know that the Peach's and I were not the only ones to talk in class on Wednesday, I know, it was amazing. Hopefully we'll keep up the same level of enthusiasm when you return. We will all be here waiting for you like the puppy that got left out in the cold. Don't stay gone to long or our balls might freeze to the porch. We should try taking the Femenism route more often, it seemed to work.

Hey Paul,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I cant say anything that would show how I feel and I just wish I could give you a hug. I think now would be a good time to tell you that you are one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I hope that you find comfort in your family and that you return to us soon. Please never forget how loved and needed you are. I wish I could be more articulate but its not happening grrrrrrrr. You and your family are im my thoughts and prayers and I look forward to dicussing our new book with the class further.

Dr. Youngquist,

As many of the people above have said both you and your family are in my prayers during this difficult time. For as much as we feel we are able to handle such a loss, one sometimes can not do it alone, and your class as your Penn State family will be there if needed. We miss you very very much! :)

Hey Paul,

I am really sorry to hear about your loss, I know there are no words to make a situation like this better, but hopefully at least knowing that our thoughts are with you can bring a smile to your face. Class was wierd without you, and somehow we still managed to discuss Obi, I think we were all rather impressed ourselves. Anyways, I just wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you and your family. We miss you and can't wait to see you when we all get back!

Jillian :)
